Red Arrow's Karga Seven opens Turkish production unit

Red Arrow Entertainment Group said Jan. 19 that its Los Angeles-based unit Karga Seven Pictures has opened a permanent production office in Istanbul, Turkey.

The venture, to be known as Karga Seven Turkey, will produce original content targeting Turkish audiences, including scripted and factual TV series, feature films, documentaries, game shows and branded content for mobile and digital platforms. At the same time, the venture will seek opportunities for international co-productions. Red Arrow's sales arm Red Arrow International will take charge of distributing Karga Seven Turkey-produced content globally.

Tamer Uner will serve as president of Karga Seven Turkey, with Ozer Sata as CEO and Todd Cohen as chief creative officer. Cohen previously served Karga Seven as executive vice president of development.

Red Arrow, which acquired TV production company Karga Seven in November 2015, is owned by Germany's ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE.
