GTNFoods Q3 profit climbs YOY

GTNFOODS JSC said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to 108.72 dong per share, an increase from 43.55 dong per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.13 billion dong, a gain from 3.26 billion dong in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 1.1% from 2.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to 711.62 billion dong from 140.38 billion dong, and total operating expenses rose from the prior-year period to 694.66 billion dong from 135.37 billion dong.

Reported net income decreased 48.3% year over year to 20.07 billion dong, or 268.33 dong per share, from 38.85 billion dong, or 519.36 dong per share.

As of Nov. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 22,445 dong.
