India's state-owned NationalAluminium Co. Ltd. achieved its highest-ever bauxite and alumina productionin the 2015-16 fiscal year, the company said April 2.
Production reached a total of 6,340,142 tonnes of bauxite and1,953,000 tonnes of alumina in the period, an increase of 10.47% and 5.51%, respectively,compared to the prior fiscal year.
The company also produced 372,000 tonnes of metal, up 13.79%compared to the corresponding figure of the previous fiscal year.
Metal sale during the year grew by 14.21% year over year to 372,424tonnes, the company added.
National Aluminium's board previously approved an of 1.25 Indian rupeesper share of 5 rupees face value for financial year 2015-16.
