HSBC Holdings Plc appointed Christopher Laing to cover the lender's emerging markets equity capital financing business, Reuters reported Feb. 2, citing "sources with direct knowledge of the matter."
Laing's title is yet to be confirmed, but one source said his duties will be similar to those he carried out as head of emerging markets equity capital markets at Deutsche Bank AG.
HSBC on Feb. 1 named Hossein Zami global head of equities and Ray Doody global head of leveraged and acquisition finance, according to internal memos obtained by the newswire.
