Euronext's September average daily transaction value up 11.3% YOY

The average daily transaction value on Euronext NV's cash-order book amounted to about €8.35 billion in September, up 11.3% from a year earlier and 34.9% from August.

Activity on exchange-traded funds reached an average daily transaction value of €216 million in September, up 2.6% from a year ago and 22.8% from the previous month. The pan-European exchange recorded 1,125 ETF listings at the end of September, compared to 1,048 at the end of 2017.

The average daily volume on equity index derivatives stood at 218,213 contracts, up 7.9% from September 2017. The ADV on individual equity derivatives reached 307,800 contracts, up 19.9% on a yearly basis, while the ADV on commodity derivatives rose 14.8% year over year to 48,971 contracts.

The overall ADV on derivatives reached 579,608 contracts at the end of September, up 5.1% from a year ago. The ADV on the spot foreign exchange market of FastMatch stood at $18.65 billion in September, down 10.7% from a year earlier and 4.2% from August.
