CBS Corp. formed a new leadership team for CBS Entertainment after the announcement of Glenn Geller's plan to step down as division president.
Long-time executive Kelly Kahl is the new president of CBS Entertainment, effective immediately, the company said May 30. The former senior executive vice president of CBS Primetime will also be responsible for entertainment matters in marketing and promotion, digital/interactive, diversity, publicity, research and scheduling.
CBS also tapped The CW executive Thom Sherman to serve as senior executive vice president of programming. Sherman, who will report to Kahl after joining CBS later this week, will oversee creative affairs for entertainment programming in all dayparts and genres.
CBS earlier May 30 said Geller decided to step down as president of entertainment. The executive suffered a heart attack in March.
