Danske Bank cuts one-to-one pre-earnings analyst calls

Danske Bank A/S will hold group pre-earnings calls with analysts instead of one-on-one conversations with individuals, Bloomberg News reported Jan. 6, citing a senior investor relations officer at the bank, Robin Lofgren.

The first such call will be held Jan. 10, with the Danish bank set to release full-year results Feb. 5.

The decision to forgo individual analyst calls comes after different interpretations of the bank's guidance in June left investors confused, causing an abrupt sell-off of its shares, according to the report.

Lofgren told the newswire the bank wanted all analysts to hear the information at the same time.

"It's not stock-sensitive information but we wanted to get around the issue of having a long period of time between the first and the last analyst on the list," Lofgren said.
