Several insurance companies disclosed new products and coverage enhancements in recent days.

Life and health

Premier Health partnered with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio, to utilize Anthem's Enhanced Personal Health Care model, to offer value-based healthcare in the Miami Valley. The agreement covers Anthem employer-based, individual and Medicare Advantage members.

Cigna Corp. and CVS Health Corp. launched Cigna Health Works, a collaboration that aligns Cigna-administered health benefits with CVS Pharmacy and CVS MinuteClinic retail healthcare services for its Cigna self-funded employer-sponsored health plans.

Chubb Life in Hong Kong launched Critical Illness Combo 370, which will cover critical illness, life protection and savings features, including 69 early stage, juvenile and special illnesses and 65 major illnesses.

Transamerica Life Insurance Co. enhanced its Transamerica Income EdgeSM living benefit rider, addressing customers' feedback on flexibility, and cost efficiency in their retirement planning and launched two new lower cost investment options. Transamerica Income Edge is a living benefit available with most Transamerica variable annuities.

The California New Car Dealers Association extended its affiliation with EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants where the broker will provide health and welfare insurance consulting to the association's members as their exclusive licensed broker across the state.

The PURE Group of Insurance Cos. expanded its PURE Programs into South Carolina. The program is an excess and surplus homeowners solution for individuals with higher-risk homes insured for $1 million or more. The PURE Group includes Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange.

XL Catlin Co. launched its real estate environmental protection solution in Asia Pacific. The solution helps property portfolio owners, property investors and Real Estate Investment Trusts in handling environmental liabilities resulting from owning or managing property.

QBE Insurance Group Ltd.'s division QBE North America named Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc. as program administrator for its small commercial insurance portfolio, consisting of property and casualty business accounts under $100,000 in premium.

ISO, a Verisk Analytics Inc. business, announced a strategic alliance with IDP Inc. to expand its program ISO preferred data partnership. The program collects policy data directly from insurers and after refining it, submits reports on the insurers' behalf to the U.S. regulators.
