The Co-operators and First Credit Union entered into a jointventure to offer insurance products and services.

Under the agreement, The Co-operators will be the exclusive providerof insurance products to the credit union's clients on Vancouver Island and SunshineCoast of British Columbia, Canada. The firm will exclusively provide products tothe credit union's insurance subsidiaries, First Insurance and Westview AgenciesLtd., through its unit The CUMIS Group Limited.

The credit union will maintain the existing insurance plans forits current clients. The Co-operators will offer policies to clients once theircurrent policies expire, the release added.
