Storage and information management company Iron Mountain Inc. appointed Monte Ford to its board, effective Nov. 1.

Ford will also join the compensation and risk and safety committees, the Boston-based company said in a release.

Ford is principal partner for the CIO Strategy Exchange, a select group of chief information officers from Fortune 100 companies. Previously, he was executive chairman and CEO of enterprise software company Aptean Inc. Ford is also a board member of The Michaels Cos. Inc. and Akamai Technologies Inc.

The appointment expands Iron Mountain's board to 12 directors.
