Konaka fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Konaka Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended June 30 was ¥13.43 per share, a gain from ¥6.14 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥391.0 million, an increase from ¥178.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.3% from 1.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥16.74 billion from ¥16.49 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥16.23 billion, compared with ¥16.25 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income rose 42.3% year over year to ¥333.0 million, or ¥11.44 per share, from ¥234.0 million, or ¥8.04 per share.
