Nittoh fiscal Q3 profit climbs 31.5% YOY

Nittoh Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, came to ¥19.58 per share, a gain of 31.5% from ¥14.89 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥79.4 million, an increase of 31.5% from ¥60.4 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 4.2% from 3.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 8.2% year over year to ¥1.90 billion from ¥1.75 billion, and total operating expenses increased 6.6% from the prior-year period to ¥1.77 billion from ¥1.66 billion.

Reported net income declined from the prior-year period to ¥83.0 million, or ¥20.47 per share, from ¥87.0 million, or ¥21.46 per share.

As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥114.87.
