Switzerland-based private equity firm Partners Group Holding AG is making a minority investment in Idera Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Houston-based Idera develops software for database professionals and application development tools for software engineers. The company caters to various sectors including education, energy, financial and government.

In addition to the company's management, existing Idera backers include middle-market investor HGGC LLC and global growth private equity firm TA Associates Management LP.

Kirkland & Ellis and Ropes & Gray were the respective legal advisers to Idera and Partners Group. Jefferies LLC and Credit Suisse were Idera's financial advisers on the deal.
