Japan's Nippon Life Insurance Co. said unit Nippon Life Asia Pacific (Regional HQ) Pte. Ltd. has obtained approval from Myanmar's Ministry of Planning and Finance to set up a representative office in the country's capital.

Masahiro Keno was appointed as head of the representative office in Yangon, according to a March 19 release.
