Metals X Ltd. said March 12 that mining activities resumed at the Nifty copper operations in Western Australia after a temporary power outage was resolved.
The loss of power to the underground mine was caused by short-circuiting of underground power cables. Repairs have been completed.
However, the power outage and legacy issues relating to Nifty infrastructure will impact production in the March quarter, which is now expected to range between 4,000 and 4,200 tonnes of copper in concentrate.
