Yamanashi Chuo Bank, Vietinbank sign cooperation agreement

Yamanashi Chuo Bank Ltd. and Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry & Trade, or Vietinbank, will cooperate to help the Japanese bank's customers doing business in Vietnam.

Yamanashi Chuo, Vietinbank and the Vietnamese bank's 19.73% holder, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd., have signed a cooperation agreement, Yamanashi Chuo and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi separately said in Dec. 15 statements.

Under the contract, Vietinbank will provide financial services such as deposits, loans and currency exchange to Yamanashi Chuo's customers. Vietinbank will also provide information on the economy and introduce Vietnamese companies to these customers.

Vietinbank is 64.46% owned by the Vietnamese government.
