Evert Schimmelpennink became the secretary, president and CEO of Pfenex Inc., replacing Patrick Lucy, who held the office on an interim basis.

Schimmelpennink, the former CEO of Alvotech, was also appointed a class 3 member of the company's board.

Lucy will continue as the company's chief business officer.
