Mammy Mart fiscal Q3 profit climbs 51.7% YOY

Mammy Mart Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended June 30 amounted to ¥47.65 per share, a gain of 51.7% from ¥31.40 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥514.4 million, an increase of 51.7% from ¥339.0 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.1% from 1.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 6.8% on an annual basis to ¥24.60 billion from ¥23.05 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 5.6% year over year to ¥23.88 billion from ¥22.62 billion.

Reported net income grew 55.2% from the prior-year period to ¥492.0 million, or ¥45.58 per share, from ¥317.0 million, or ¥29.37 per share.
