Chuong Duong Beverages Q2 profit falls YOY

Chuong Duong Beverages JSC said its second-quarter normalized net income was 214.14 dong per share, a decrease of 54.9% from 475.16 dong per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.81 billion dong, a decline of 54.9% from 4.03 billion dong in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 2.4% from 4.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 13.1% year over year to 75.93 billion dong from 87.37 billion dong, and total operating expenses declined 10.8% from the prior-year period to 75.88 billion dong from 85.09 billion dong.

Reported net income decreased 44.5% from the prior-year period to 2.79 billion dong, or 329.00 dong per share, from 5.03 billion dong, or 593.00 dong per share.

As of July 20, US$1 was equivalent to 21,823.50 dong.
