PepsiCo to debut coffee-cola drink in 2020

PepsiCo Inc. announced Dec. 12 that it will launch Pepsi Café, a beverage that mixes the taste of coffee and cola, in the U.S. in April 2020.

Pepsi Café will come in two flavors, original and vanilla. It is expected to have nearly twice the amount of caffeine in a regular Pepsi drink.

PepsiCo said it introduced a drink called Pepsi Kona under the same category in 1996, but it was "ahead of its time."
