Michael Kauffman was appointed an independent director of Infinity Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s board.

Kauffman was also appointed to the board's governance committee and research and development committee.

Further, José Baselga opted to retire from the company's board at the end of his current term, which expires at Infinity's 2017 annual meeting of stockholders.
