Yumemitsuketai Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥3.52 per share, a gain of 39.0% from ¥2.53 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥35.6 million, an increase of 39.0% from ¥25.6 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 7.0% from 4.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined 5.9% on an annual basis to ¥509.0 million from ¥541.0 million, and total operating expenses declined 7.2% from the prior-year period to ¥462.0 million from ¥498.0 million.
Reported net income rose 25.7% on an annual basis to ¥44.0 million, or ¥4.35 per share, from ¥35.0 million, or ¥3.46 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥6.55 per share, an increase from ¥6.28 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥66.3 million, a rise of 5.0% from ¥63.1 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue fell 11.4% year over year to ¥1.92 billion from ¥2.17 billion, and total operating expenses fell 10.4% year over year to ¥1.83 billion from ¥2.05 billion.
The company said reported net income increased year over year to ¥612.0 million, or ¥60.50 per share, in the full year, from ¥82.0 million, or ¥8.15 per share.
