Perrigo Co. PLC named Murray Kessler president, CEO and board member, replacing Uwe Roehrhoff.
Roehrhoff was appointed president and CEO in January.
Kessler has more than 30 years' experience in the consumer sector. He was chairman of Lorillard Tobacco Company prior to joining Perrigo.
The Dublin-based generic drugmaker said Kessler's experience and background is aligned with its plan to become more consumer focused. The company announced plans to divest its prescription drug business in August.
