Investment firm Carlyle Group LP raised €6.4 billion for its latest fund, exceeding its target by almost €1 billion.

Carlyle Europe Partners V attracted over 300 investors from 37 countries. It invests in European upper midmarket companies across different industries.

To date, the fund has invested in five companies in Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, namely Forgital SA, Cepsa, Nouryon, Design Holding and Jeanologia SL.

The Carlyle Group invests private capital across corporate private equity, real assets, global credit and investment solutions.
