Amazon.comInc.'s Indian arminked an exclusive long-term content licensing deal with the country's musiclabel T-Series, Variety reportedSept. 28.
T-series is reportedly also involved in the film productionbusiness and has 17 movies under production currently. Following the deal, themovies will stream on Amazon Prime after its launch in India. The films willdebut on the streaming service after their theatrical releases but before theirdebut on TV, according to the report.
The deal follows many such agreements between Amazon andseveral Indianfilmmakers andstudios as thee-commerce giant gets ready to offer Prime Video in the country. Amazon hasnot announced a launch date for the service yet.
