Gokurakuyu Holdings fiscal Q3 loss narrows YOY

Gokurakuyu Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, was a loss of 53 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of ¥3.91 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥6.9 million, compared with a loss of ¥48.5 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to negative 0.2% from negative 1.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 12.5% on an annual basis to ¥3.23 billion from ¥2.87 billion, and total operating expenses increased 10.1% from the prior-year period to ¥3.29 billion from ¥2.99 billion.

Reported net income came to a loss of ¥54.9 million, or a loss of ¥4.23 per share, compared to a loss of ¥44.0 million, or a loss of ¥3.54 per share, in the year-earlier period.
