Wynnchurch Capital received roughly $2.28 billion in capital commitments for its fifth private equity fund at closing, hitting its hard cap.

The Wynnchurch Capital Partners V LP fund was launched in September 2019 with an initial target of $1.6 billion.

The private equity firm invests in midmarket companies across the U.S. and Canada.

Ropes & Gray LLP provided legal counsel to Wynnchurch, while Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC's private fund group was its private placement adviser.
