Report: Apple may retire iTunes service at WWDC19

Apple Inc. may retire its iTunes service as it unveils new stand-alone music, TV and podcasts apps for MacBooks and desktop computers at the Worldwide Developer Conference in San Jose, Calif., June 3, Variety reported June 1.

The iPhone maker is also expected to unveil new versions of its desktop and mobile operating systems at the event.

Apple's former CEO, the late Steve Jobs, unveiled iTunes in January 2001.
