Camanchaca Q1 loss widens 15.4% YOY

Compañía Pesquera Camanchaca SA said its first-quarter normalized net income amounted to a loss of $2.8 million, compared with a loss of $2.4 million in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin fell to negative 2.7% from negative 2.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 6.9% year over year to $103.8 million from $111.4 million, and total operating expenses fell 5.5% year over year to $107.8 million from $114.1 million.

Reported net income came to a loss of $3.0 million, or a loss of 0 cents per share, compared to a loss of $1.9 million, or a loss of 0 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
