Arrow Minerals kicks off drilling at Strickland gold project

Arrow Minerals Ltd. said Oct. 5 that it started a major fence-line drilling program at its Strickland gold project in Western Australia.

The 14,000-meter drill program comprises set-depth fence lines across prospective mineralized structures defined by previous aircore drilling, close spaced soil sampling, high-resolution aeromagnetic data and prospect scale geological mapping focusing on the T6, T1 and T2 prospects, where significant gold mineralization intersected.

Drilling has begun at the T6 prospect to test six high-priority targets and will include 20 fence lines of overlapping angled holes designed to intersect mineralized structures. Previous drilling intersected 56 meters at 0.8 g/t of gold, including 24 meters at 1.6 g/t of gold and 9 meters at 3.3 g/t of gold.

The drill program will continue at T2 and T1 and will be completed by the end of December. Assay results will also be released separately for each prospect.

The Strickland project is 100 kilometers west of Menzies in the Yilgarn Craton.
