Long An Food Processing Export Q2 profit climbs YOY

Long An Food Processing Export JSC said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to 92.50 dong per share, a gain from 14.75 dong per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.36 billion dong, a gain from 216.9 million dong in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 0.4% from 0.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 49.0% on an annual basis to 240.85 billion dong from 161.69 billion dong, and total operating expenses rose 47.3% on an annual basis to 236.24 billion dong from 160.34 billion dong.

Reported net income rose year over year to 2.17 billion dong, or 148.00 dong per share, from 435.9 million dong, or 29.65 dong per share.

As of July 23, US$1 was equivalent to 21,817.50 dong.
