Jay Ushin fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Jay Ushin Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to 4.55 Indian rupees per share, an increase from 90 paise per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 17.6 million rupees, a gain from 3.5 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 1.1% from 0.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to 1.63 billion rupees from 1.61 billion rupees, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to 1.63 billion rupees from 1.61 billion rupees.

Reported net income rose year over year to 13.6 million rupees, or 3.53 rupees per share, from 386,240 rupees, or 10 paise per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 68.19 Indian rupees.
