Japanese carmaker Mazda Motor Corp. on March 12 named new CEOs for its operations in Europe and Canada.

The company named Yasuhiro Aoyama as its new president and CEO for its European operations, Mazda Motor Europe GmbH, replacing Jeffrey Guyton, who will become president of Mazda Motor of America Inc.

Mazda also appointed David Klan as its new CEO for Mazda Canada Inc., replacing Masaharu Kondo, who has been promoted to general manager, global sales and marketing division at Mazda's headquarters in Japan. Klan will report to Masahiro Moro, chairman and CEO of the company's North American operations.

Aoyama and Klan's appointments are both effective April 1.
