Social media follower data presented here was collected on a team-by-team basis for the team's primary official social media account on each platform. Followers for accounts operated by leagues or individual athletes were not tracked or included. Some social media platforms round off follower counts, and data presented for YouTube reflects channel subscribers to the team's official YouTube account. Follower counts are for total followers and not unique followers, as a single user may follow multiple team accounts across multiple platforms. Leagues tracked include the National Football League Inc., National Basketball Association Inc., Major League Baseball, National Hockey League LP, Major League Soccer LLC, Premier League, English Football League, LALIGA Group International S.L., Serie A, Ligue 1, Brasileiro and Bundesliga International Gmbh.
