LJ Williams fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

L.J. Williams Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 3 Trinidad and Tobago cents per share, a decline of 56.3% from 7 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was TT$1.8 million, a decline of 6.3% from TT$1.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 5.2% from 5.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to TT$34.0 million from TT$32.7 million, and total operating expenses climbed year over year to TT$30.2 million from TT$28.8 million.

Reported net income declined 5.4% from the prior-year period to TT$2.7 million, or 5 cents per share, from TT$2.9 million, or 11 cents per share.
