Cinedigm Corp.'s digital-first network Docurama expanded its operating infrastructure and content offerings.

The channel's new proprietary Cinedigm-created infrastructure will now include a free ad-supported platform.

The company also entered into a programming and marketing deal with David Piperni, founder of the New York-based Cargo Film & Releasing, which specializes in acquiring nonfiction features. Cargo Film & Releasing will buy programming for Docurama and curate the channel's content library. Cargo Film & Releasing will also be responsible for many aspects of marketing for the channel.
