J-Group Holdings posts fiscal Q2 loss

J-Group Holdings Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 amounted to a loss of ¥3.8 million.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin was 0.1%.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥3.44 billion from ¥3.35 billion, and total operating expenses climbed from the prior-year period to ¥3.44 billion from ¥3.35 billion.

Reported net income came to a loss of ¥69.0 million, or a loss of ¥8.63 per share, compared to a loss of ¥2.1 million, or a loss of ¥2.38 per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of Oct. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.87.
