Virtus Health Ltd. exercised its option to acquire the remaining 15% of Ireland's Sims IVF Group for nearly €4.1 million.

Sims IVF Group, which provides in vitro fertilization, or IVF, services consists of Sims IVF Dublin, Sims IVF Cork and Rotunda IVF clinic Dublin.

The acquisition, carried out through Virtus Health's Irish unit, is part of an option deed on May 30, 2014. Following the deal, Virtus Health now owns the entirety of Sims IVF Group.

Virtus Health financed the transaction through existing cash resources.

New South Wales, Australia-based Virtus Health provides fertility care along with related specialized diagnostic and day hospital services.
