Fusion IV Pharmaceuticals Inc., doing business as Axia Pharmaceutical, is recalling all unused sterile drug products within expiry due to uncertainty about the products being germ-free.

The Los Angeles-based company said the recalled products were found to be inconsistent with federal guidelines. The use of such products risks serious infections, which can be potentially life-threatening.

The company has asked users to stop using the recalled products and return them to Axia Pharmaceutical.

Axia Pharmaceutical added that there are no reports of any adverse events related to this recall, which is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
