Takizawa Ham fiscal Q3 profit climbs 31.9% YOY

Takizawa Ham Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥94.34 per share, an increase of 31.9% from ¥71.51 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥193.8 million, an increase of 31.9% from ¥146.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 2.4% from 1.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥8.16 billion from ¥8.06 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥7.86 billion, compared with ¥7.83 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income increased 30.2% on an annual basis to ¥302.0 million, or ¥147.04 per share, from ¥232.0 million, or ¥112.96 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
