AT&T Inc. is pulling the plug on Audience Network and is turning the network into a preview channel for Warner Media LLC's upcoming streaming service HBO Max, Variety reported Jan. 8, citing a company executive.
Daniel York, chief content officer of AT&T consumer, said the transition, which will occur in spring, is aimed at supporting AT&T's wider original content and marketing focus on HBO Max, according to the report.
An AT&T spokesperson said the company will evaluate its workforce needs as a result of the Audience Network transition.
