Brown & Brown posts 2.6% organic revenue growth in Q2

Brown & BrownInc. reported organic revenue growth in core commissions and fees of2.6% for the second quarter.

Net income for the quarter was $66.2 million, or 47 cents pershare, compared with $61.0 million, or 43 cents per share, in the second quarterof 2015. Adjusted EPS was 49 cents, up from 43 cents in the prior quarter.

The S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate forthe quarter was 44 cents.

Total revenues for the quarter were $446.5 million, up from $419.4million in the prior-year period.
