Japan retail sales rebound in November

Japan's retail sales rose 2.2% year over year in November, following a 0.2% slip in October, preliminary data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed.

On a month-over-month basis, retail sales were up 1.9%.

November's sales rose as consumers spent more on fuel, electronics and cars in a sign of growing domestic demand, Reuters said Dec. 28.
