Crusader Resources Ltd. updated the mineral resource estimate for the Querosene and Dona Maria prospects, part of its Juruena gold project in Brazil, to a total of 436,000 tonnes at 14.7 g/t for 206,000 contained ounces of gold.
In its Dec. 22 release, the company noted a 36% grade increase at the Querosene prospect, which now hosts 220,000 tonnes at 16.7 g/t for 118,000 contained ounces of gold.
The Dona Maria resource now stands at 216,000 tonnes at 12.7 g/t for 88,000 contained ounces of gold.
The updated estimate includes 100,000 tonnes at 18.3 g/t for 58,300 contained ounces in the indicated category.
Preliminary metallurgical testwork for both prospects have returned recoveries of over 90%, according to the release.
Crusader Managing Director Rob Smakman expects the scoping study on the project to be completed in early 2017, which will also include results from the Tatu and Tatu NE zones.
