CenturyLink Inc. has received an authority to operate under its General Services Administration $50 billion ceiling Alliant 2 governmentwide acquisition contract, the company said July 30.
The Alliant 2 GWAC is a program that allows federal agencies to purchase information technology services and IT services-based services as a package.
Through the ATO, foreign agencies will now be able to access CenturyLink's entire portfolio, which includes cloud computing, virtual networking, big data analytics, smart sensors, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity services and digital forensic services.
The Alliant 2 period of performance and ordering period has a five-year base term that ends June 30, 2023, and an additional five-year option period until June 30, 2028.
CenturyLink is also an authorized telecom and IT infrastructure services provider under GSA's 15-year, $50 billion enterprise infrastructure solutions program. Alliant 2, together with the EIS program, is part of GSA's Network Services 2020 strategy that aims to help federal agencies migrate to modern communications and IT services that meet government security standards.
