UNIFIN Financiera obtains $151.5M syndicated loan

UNIFIN Financiera SAB de CV has obtained a $151.5 million senior unsecured syndicated loan, which the Mexican company will use to refinance its existing debt and for general corporate purposes, according to a statement.

Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior SA and Nomura Securities International acted as joint lead arrangers and joint book runners for the three-year credit facility.

The deal was 1.51x oversubscribed, which enabled UNIFIN Financiera to upsize the amount to $151.5 million from an original target of $100 million. The transaction drew interest from 13 financial institutions in Central and Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and the U.S.
