Chunghwa Post 2015 net income down 3.2% YOY

Chunghwa Post Co.Ltd. on March 10 posted a 3.2% year-over-year decrease in net incomefor the year ended Dec. 31, 2015.

The company's net income came down to NT$11.61 billion from NT$11.99billion in the previous year.

Interest income climbed to NT$103.53 billion from NT$101.63 billionin the prior year, while insurance premiums edged up to NT$150.85 billion comparedwith NT$148.77 billion over the same period.

The company's full-year 2015 operating income increased to NT$13.51billion from NT$13.23 billion in the prior year, while operating revenue declinedto NT$320.39 billion from NT$393.61 billion.

The company's net profit margin stood at 3.62% at the end of2015, up from 3.05% at the end of 2014.
