Jury indicts 2 on charges related to coal executive's murder

The Mingo County grand jury indicted two men on charges related to the shooting death of ex-coal company executive Ben Hatfield, according to a local news report.

Anthony Arriaga, 20, from Gibsonburg, Ohio, and Brandon Lee Fitzpatrick of Louisa, Ky., were indicted on charges related to first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit murder and robbery, according to the Williamson Daily News.

Hatfield was found dead in a Mingo County cemetery in May 2016 while visiting his wife's grave. Hatfield had worked in executive or management positions for Patriot Coal Corp., Foresight Energy LP, Arch Coal Inc., and others.
