Report: NBA inks live streaming deal with Facebook

The National Basketball Association struck a deal to livestream USA Basketball exhibition games on Facebook Inc.'s social networking website, Recodereported July 21.

The deal covers nine games from the men's and women's teamsover the next two weeks, according to the report. The coverage will reportedlybe "Presented by Verizon [CommunicationsInc.]"

Users will need to log in with their cable provider toaccess the NBA TV stream on Facebook, according to the report. Facebook willstream the first game July 22.
