Picton Mahoney Asset Management completed its acquisition of the investment fund management contracts of four hedge funds and alternative mutual funds from Vertex One Asset Management Inc.

The acquisition increased Picton Mahoney's total assets under management by C$400 million. Craig Chilton and Tom Savage have joined Picton Mahoney as part of the deal and will continue to manage the acquired funds.

Picton Mahoney also changed the names of the acquired funds as part of the deal.
